Petsmart Hours
Because of minimal adoptions during the week and difficulty finding an employee to cover the shifts, we have decided to only go to Petsmart on Saturday and Sunday. We are very thankful to Petsmart for all of the support and hope to one day return to going more frequently. We are extending our hours on the weekend to 11am - 5pm.
Our shelter hours will remain the same, Friday - Sunday 12pm - 5pm.
If you were planning on purchasing Meow Mixer tickets Wednesday or Thursday at Petsmart, we will be available at the shelter those days for ticket purchases only, you can still purchase online, or we can take a credit card by phone.
Change to the Meow Mixer!
Because of the TABC laws, since the Meow Mixer is being held at a private residence, we are not allowed to sell alcohol. Instead of the previously advertised drink ticket that was included in the ticket price, you will now get 2 raffle tickets. You are allowed to bring your own alcoholic beverages (we will still have soda and water) - we’ll have the cups and the ice!
3rd Annual Meow Mixer
It’s that time again!
This year, the Meow Mixer is going to be on Friday, April 9th from 6-10pm at the home of Marie Colson (3901 Ocean Drive). The event will include music by the SwingRayz, BBQ dinner, a silent auction, raffle, and chances to win door prizes based on your knowledge of cats (in a game show format)!
Tickets will be $20 before April 9th and $25 at the door. Ticket price includes 2 raffle tickets.
Our shelter is funded strictly on donations, grants and fundraisers. The Meow Mixer is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and a large part of what makes it so profitable is the donation of raffle and silent auction items. Donations that would make good auction items include restaurant gift certificates, home decor items, gift baskets, event tickets, art and so on. Last year two volunteers put together a themed basket of garden items and it was sold for 3 times what they paid! If you can donate any such items, please contact us!
Event sponsorships are also available:
Printing - $250, includes 4 tickets to the event
Postage - $250, includes 4 tickets to the event
Favors - $100, includes 2 tickets to the event
Decorations - $100, includes 2 tickets to the event
Table sponsorships can be purchased for $500 which includes 8 seats!
All donations include recognition in the event program, online and at the event.

PetSmart Charities, Hill’s® Science Diet® brand and PetSmart® present the Second Change for Love National Adoption Weekend. The three-day sponsored adoption event takes place Friday-Sunday, February 12 - 14, 2010, in all PetSmart® stores. The goal is to find homes for more than 16,000 pets in need.

Join us for Fine Wine and Felines, this Tuesday, February 2nd from 6-8pm at the shelter! (8201 Weber)
Please join us for February’s Wine and Cheese event on Tuesday the 2nd, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the shelter (8201 Weber). For the month of February, the cost per person will be $20 or $10 with a donation of any of the following items: Bleach, Postage Stamps, Clay or Scoopable Litter, or Swiffer Dry Pads.
For all guests, there will be a 10% off discount for any store merchandise purchased that evening.
Come hang out with other cat lovers and visit with the kitties while enjoying some tasty wine and snacks and listening to some great music performed by the Bach V Classical Ensemble and a special appearance by Miss Teen Corpus Christi International, Brianna Kerbow!

Holiday Shelter and Petsmart Hours
The shelter will be closed on December 25th and January 1st.
We will not be at Petsmart 12/23-12/25 and 12/30-1/1.
