The Cattery Cat Shelter

Cassie came in with her mama (Abby) and her sister (Sophie).  She has been at the shelter since she was a baby, but has never really trusted us.  She is a gorgeous cat, but runs from people and has no interest in being petted or any kind of human affection.  Because of this we think our shelter might be her permanent home and we’ve placed her in the Virtu-Adoption program.  Please help us give her a good home here at the shelter by becoming a monthly sponsor!

This is Dwayne. He is the newest kitty available for Virtu-Adoption. He was added to the list because he either has inflammatory bowel disease or cancer. To prove it’s cancer, Dwayne would gave to undergo an invasive operation. We decided to treat for the IBD instead before we put him through that. He has been doing well! He’s gained two pounds and is happy and spoiled. Please help us support Dwayne by virtually adopting him. Martha is an older cat that showed up at a lady’s house one day.  The lady feared she belonged to a neighbor that passed away and his children let her out because they didn’t want her.  She was definitely not a stray!!  They brought her to us in hopes of finding her a good home.  Martha is very sweet, but a bit shy.  Her first couple of days here she hid under her blanket!!  She is now walking around the shelter like she owns the place and loves to talk to everyone!  Because she’s a bit shy to new people and older we’re going to put her on the Virtu-Adoption page as well. 

Oso is a shy Tabby boy.  He likes to run from you, but once you do get to pet him, he’s all about giving kitty kisses, and loves being rubbed.  He’ll need extra patience to gain his trust.  Because of his shyness, he is part of our Virtu-Adoption Program!

Sunshine was hit by a car when she was just a little baby and taken to Oso Creek Animal Hospital.  She spent several weeks recovering from her injuries there before she came to stay with us. Sunshine has been very shy since her accident and has a low tolerance for human attention.  Even though she’s a beautiful kitty, we fear her grumpiness will make her a long time resident of The Cattery.  This is especially sad because she is so young. Virginia may be the sweetest kitten in the world.  Unfortunately she was born with one back leg paralyzed, the other partially paralyzed and incontinent.  The paralyzed leg was causing her issues and had to be amputated.  She gets around just fine and even climbs the cat trees (and humans) just like all of the other kittens.  But because of her incontinence she is going to be a very high maintenance kitty for the rest of her life.  Right now her diapers don’t stay on very well, so we are trying to figure out a little outfit for her that will keep it on so she can play like the other kittens.  Because of her condition we are putting her in our Virtu-Adoption program, which means you can help support Virginia and you’ll receive a monthly email letter from her and a picture!
